Visit the Museum
By bus:
Take bus travel route no. 6, 6x or 260 at Exchange Square Bus Terminus in Central and get off at the bus stop near Stanley Prison. Just walk across the road from the bus stop to reach the museum at 45 Tung Tau Wan Road.
By minibus:
Take green minibus travel route no. 40 or 40x at Jardine's Bazaar, Causeway Bay (near Exit F1, Causeway Bay MTR Station) and get off at the minibus terminus near Stanley Prison. Just walk across the road from the Minibus Terminus to reach the museum at 45 Tung Tau Wan Road.

Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above:
If typhoon signal No. 8 is hoisted or still in force two hours before the Museum's regular opening time (10 am), the Museum will not open at the regular opening time. If the signal is subsequently lowered, the Museum will open within three hours. If the signal is hoisted during the opening hours, the Museum will be closed immediately. If the signal is cancelled less than four hours from the regular closing time (5 pm), the Museum will remain closed for the rest of the day.

Black Rainstorm Warning:
If the Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted or still in force two hours before the Museum's regular opening time (10 am), the Museum will not open at the regular opening time. If the signal is subsequently lowered, the Museum will open within three hours. If the Warning is hoisted during the opening hours, the Museum will remain open with limited operations, but all outdoor exhibitions and events will be suspended. If the signal is cancelled less than four hours from the normal closing time (5 pm), the Museum will remain closed for the rest of the day.
