Persons in Custody Self-service Kiosk
The self-service kiosk allows PICs to manage their daily matters in institutions on a self-service basis, such as purchasing canteen items, which aims to assist them in developing self-help skills and self-discipline. Through training on the use of the self-service kiosk, PICs can adapt to and re-integrate into today's knowledge-based society after release more easily.
PIC Self-learning System
PICs can use the PIC Self-learning System installed in tablets for self-learning, such as reading e-books and e-magazines, listening to stress-relieving music and watching rehabilitative videos, etc. The system aims to make changes to PICs' lifestyle through the application of technology commonly used in the modern society, so as to improve their learning ability, strengthen their self-management skills as well as prepare them for re-integration into society after release.
Integrated Intelligent Communication System
This is a telephone communication management system for PICs. With approval from institutional management, PICs can make phone calls to designated relatives and friends at a specific location on a self-service basis. The system aims to enable PICs to maintain closer ties with their families, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of rehabilitation programmes as well as preparing them for re-integration into society upon release.
