Approved Hand-in Articles e-Ordering Service

CSD is now launching the “Approved Hand-in Articles e-Ordering Service” at Lo Wu Correctional Institution, Pak Sha Wan Correctional Institution, Pik Uk Correctional Institution, Pik Uk Prison, Stanley Prison, Tai Tam Gap Correctional Institution and Tung Tau Correctional Institution. The Service allows you to purchase approved hand-in articles online on the same day after you complete a visit to a person in custody (PIC) and have the articles delivered direct to the correctional facility concerned without the need of sourcing the articles in the market and personally carrying the articles to correctional facilities. For more details, please refer to the relevant terms and conditions on the platform.

 

Official Visit*

The Correctional Services Department is now launching the Official Visit e-Booking System. Registered user can save telephone booking time by making use of this online service to make an appointment on Official Visit at the Website of Correctional Services Department. Official Visit e-Booking Service can make advance booking within 7 days (Except Saturday afternoon, Sunday and public holiday). Notes :

  1. Visitors are advised to arrive 30 minutes in advance for registration, but not earlier than 9:00 a.m.
  2. Those without booking must be registered 60 minutes prior to the end of the visiting hours.

Remand Persons in Custody: Everyday 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Convicted Persons in Custody: Everyday 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (No visit on Wednesday, except public holidays)

Venue

Visitors can visit persons in custody detained at Stanley Prison in 1/F of Urine Specimen Collection Centre (USCC) inside Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre (LCKRC)

Bookings

Bookings should be made through staff of Stanley Prison Visit Room at 2641 8893 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. two days in advance of the video social visit.

Note:

  1. Visitors are required to arrive at USCC for registration at least 30 minutes prior to the reserved timeslot.
  2. The person in custody concerned has the right to decide on whether to receive video social visit(s) or not.
  3. Persons in custody are allowed to receive approved hand-in articles from their visitors upon video visit(s) at LCKRC. However, only those articles where prior approval is not required could be handed in (as stipulated in this CSD departmental website).

Bookings

  1. Bookings should be made through Visit Room staff of Stanley Prison Visit Room at 2641 8893. Booking starts from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday to Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday (except Public Holiday).
  2. Advance booking should be made by lawyers and prior consent must be obtained from clients.
  3. Any service hour within the present and next two working days may be booked.
  4. In normal circumstances, only one-hour duration will be assigned to one client. At the discretion of the Officer-in-charge of Reception Office, more than one client may be allowed if the situation warrants.

 

Procurement of Private Food for Prisoner Awaiting Trial (Prisoner on Remand)

According to the Law of HK Chapter 234A, Rule 192, every prisoner awaiting trial may procure for himself or receive food. In order to meet with the management and security requirement, the institution shall only allow licensed restaurant to supply food for the prisoners awaiting trial.
