Introduction

Objectives

Pre-sentence Assessment is conducted to advise courts on the suitability of offenders to a Detention Centre/ Rehabilitation Centre/ Training Centre/ Drug Addiction Treatment Centre.

Functions

To conduct interviews on all cases referred by courts and to compile suitability reports to courts on behalf of the Commissioner of Correctional Services.
