Approved Hand-in Articles e-Ordering Service

CSD is now launching the “Approved Hand-in Articles e-Ordering Service” at Lo Wu Correctional Institution, Pak Sha Wan Correctional Institution, Pik Uk Correctional Institution, Pik Uk Prison, Stanley Prison, Tai Tam Gap Correctional Institution and Tung Tau Correctional Institution. The Service allows you to purchase approved hand-in articles online on the same day after you complete a visit to a person in custody (PIC) and have the articles delivered direct to the correctional facility concerned without the need of sourcing the articles in the market and personally carrying the articles to correctional facilities. For more details, please refer to the relevant terms and conditions on the platform.

Notes :
1. For security reason, visitors should not arrive at the institution earlier than 8:30 a.m.
2. Visitors must be registered 60 minutes prior to the end of the visiting hours.

The Correctional Services Department is now launching the Official Visit e-Booking System. Registered user can save telephone booking time by making use of this online service to make an appointment on Official Visit at the Website of Correctional Services Department. Official Visit e-Booking Service can make advance booking within 7 days (Except Saturday afternoon, Sunday and public holiday). Notes :

  1. Visitors are advised to arrive 30 minutes in advance for registration, but not earlier than 9:00 a.m.
  2. Those without booking must be registered 60 minutes prior to the end of the visiting hours.

Visit Registration Centre and Visit Room inside the Centre are designated as non-smoking areas.  Smoking is prohibited in both the Visit Registration Centre & Visit Room.

Bookings

  1. Bookings should be made through the staff of LWCI Visit Registration centre at 2926 9888. Booking starts at 9:00 a.m. until 5:00p.m.
  2. Advance booking should be made by lawyers and prior consent must be obtained from clients.
  3. Any service hour within the present and next two working days may be booked.
  4. In normal circumstances, only one-hour duration will be assigned to one client. At the discretion of the Officer-in-charge of Visit Room, more than one client may be allowed if the situation warrants.

 

Procurement of Private Food for Prisoner Awaiting Trial (Prisoner on Remand)

According to the Law of HK Chapter 234A, Rule 192, every prisoner awaiting trial may procure for himself or receive food. In order to meet with the management and security requirement, the Centre shall only allow licensed restaurant to supply food for the prisoners awaiting trial.
