Assault by person in custody on another

     A male person in custody assaulted another male person in custody in Shek Pik Prison today (January 10).

     At about 8.08am, a 51-year-old male person in custody suddenly punched another 35-year-old male person in custody. Correctional officers at the scene immediately stopped him.

     Both persons were sent to the centre hospital for examination. The victim was subsequently referred to a public hospital for further medical treatment.

     The case has been reported to the Police.

     Both persons in custody were sentenced for offence of murder.
