Archbishop of Hong Kong presides at Christmas service at Tung Tau Correctional Institution

     The Archbishop of Hong Kong, the Most Reverend Dr Paul Kwong, visited Tung Tau Correctional Institution and presided at a Christmas service today (December 23) to preach and share his faith with participating persons in custody.

     The Most Reverend Dr Kwong was accompanied by the Commissioner of Correctional Services, Mr Yau Chi-chiu, in touring Tung Tau Correctional Institution to understand the latest developments of correctional services and rehabilitation work.

     In catering for the religious needs of persons in custody and helping them in regard to moral and spiritual dimensions, the department appointed a full-time Chaplain to co-ordinate various religious services and liaise with different religious organisations and volunteers to pay visits to correctional institutions for religious services and events.
