Commissioner of Correctional Services fully supports "The Chief Executive's 2020 Policy Address"

     The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, delivered "The Chief Executive's 2020 Policy Address" today (November 25).

     ​The Commissioner of Correctional Services, Mr Woo Ying-ming, said he supports the Policy Address. The Correctional Services Department (CSD) will collaborate with other disciplinary forces under synergy in implementing epidemic prevention and control measures, as well as striving ahead with renewed perseverance to restore social and economic stability.

     Mr Woo said that the CSD acts in concert with relevant and crucial measures of the Policy Address and will continue to introduce smart elements in prison management to enhance enforcement and epidemic prevention capabilities. It will continue to optimise various rehabilitation programmes to help young persons in custody turn over a new leaf and reintegrate into the society. To create a brighter future in the years to come, the CSD will nurture the new generation to understand and love the country and become law-abiding through community education programmes.

     Safeguarding national security and fighting the epidemic is the precondition for initiatives to benefit livelihoods and the economy. The CSD will fully support and ensure the effective implementation of the Policy Address.
