Staff of the Correctional Services Department intercepted suspicious persons in the vicinity of Stanley Prison (SP) this morning (July 19).
Around 5.50am, staff on surveillance duty spotted some suspicious persons sneaking into the restricted area of SP. A search was organised and six suspect males were intercepted on Tung Tau Wan Drive shortly afterwards.
The six persons, speaking a south Asian dialect, were unable to produce any proof of identity. They were handed to the Police for investigation. No injuries were reported during the incident.
