A sick inmate from Stanley Prison who was sent to a public hospital has died today (October 11).
The 61-year-old male inmate was referred to a public hospital on October 9 because of sickness. His condition had been deteriorating and he was certified dead at 2.47am.
The case has been reported to the Police. A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.
The inmate was serving a 15-year sentence for the offence of manufacture of dangerous drugs.
