Envisioning evidence-informed rehabilitation services, the Correctional Rehabilitation Research Unit (CRRU) set up under the Psychological Services Section of the Correctional Services Department is committed to guiding the strategic planning for rehabilitation and crime prevention policies for the provision of effective rehabilitation services to persons-in-custody and supervisees through undertaking relevant research and professional exchanges with international research experts and correctional counterparts.

Description: As scientist-practitioners, clinical psychologists endeavour to develop evidence-informed, state-of-the-art psychological services while conducting a diverse range of research studies to gain insights into the profiles of persons in custody (PICs) and the effectiveness of psychological treatment programmes specialised for sex offenders, male and female PICs, young and elderly PICs, as well as PICs with self-harm risk.
